This exhibition demonstrates the geology of the Peak District and in particular the area around Buxton. Here you will find samples of local rocks, minerals and fossils, which you can handle and examine. Posters explain the origin of the rocks and how the processes that formed them are still at work today. Also a 3D model shows how the underlying geology influences the landscape we see around us.
